hey dont know if the title makes me sound dumb but i know quite a bit about boosting. but i would like to make sure that i am getting the right info...

i had just bought this kit....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...QrdZ1

and all that i am missing is a fmu or some sort of fuel management. i had also purchased an safc from a friend of mine and am in the process of looking for some 370cc sr20 injectors(just looking to hit around 250-300hp).would that be all that i would need for my turbo to run, besides a proper tune.

i was also browsing and found this...http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...QrdZ1

i had emailed the seller and asked him if the safc was useless if i purchased the ecu. he said YES.. so my question would be, should i sell the safc or keep it and just use it to tune the TuneD ecu??

any info and advice on what i should do to make my turbo setup run properly and safely would be great. oh yeah.. i know its an ebay kit, but it isnt an SSaC or whatever, i am going to get the turbo re-built by a turbo shop here and he guarantees his work for two years.

thanks org...maka

I think the only thing I could add is that you will need turbo Outlet adapter and oil lines. Along with the fuel management stuff.

And the SAFC is still useful. People use them everyday to fine tune Enthalpy and JimWolf ROM tunes.

for when the turbo splits in half due to the epoxy not holding up.(&the blades go right through the intercooler, into the engine, and probably stay in there......but not before it seizes the motor first)

it says in the ebay auction that it doesn't include oil lines.

1) Your turbo is probably fine, the chinese journal bearing turbos do pretty well. Hell, they're all chinese anymore.

2) A wideband is a type of oxygen sensor that has a larger spread or band associated with it's voltage oscillations. For your purposes, it is an oxygen sensor that will let you know when you are running richer than 12:1, and will do less bouncing all over the place than your stocker. Get one, this is VERY important.

What level of boost are you planning to run? You won't get much out of that T25 so keep it realistic. If you are dead set on getting it rebuilt, have them throw a T3 compressor on it, and maybe a larger turbine. Or you could just do like I would like to do and make a T2 bodied T3/T04e.

Oil Lines are good from CheapTurboLines.com, that's where I got mine.

sorry to spam your thread but i didnt wanna start a new thread asking a noob question. What are some of the most common s13 turbo kits used(looking for 350-400 rwhp)? Also i know greddy makes one for the s14, would there be a way to make it work on my car or is there a clearance/layout problem. Ive been out of the 240 game since my wreck 3 years ago, dont flame me...

The phrase is thread-jack.

IAP, N-Sport, AMS, Turbonetics, FMAX, Turbo Specialties, etc. You can do a google search and turbochargers.com should have a listing of what they offer.

The initial Greddy kit will work with minor modification on the S13, but the intercooler kit will not. The Greddy kit does not include an intercooler. If you decide to go this route, use the SR intercooler kit available from them for the S13, and it should work with minor modification.

Or you could build your own.

well.. good luck on the e-bay turbo kit.

if you want to pick up turbo parts or kits for cheap you gotta go to ka-t dot org. and check out the forsale section. i got about half my stuff through there and bought the turbo, clutch, oil lines, fuel pump, and a few other things new.

You simply will not hit that power level with that turbo, and should think of at least a T3.

Odviously hes not going to make that much power, but you will be fine with what you have to run about 10lbs on that t25, probably make about 225-240whp on 10lbs with a good tune, I would take it somewhere once you get everything together and get it dyno tuned.
