I just bought a 1997 s14. I havent seen it yet since my parents picked it up (stuck on active duty). By looking at the pictures it doesnt have the side skirts that come on most SE's i believe. The car prob would look a lot better with them. Does anyone know where I could get stock skirts or cheap aftermarket ones? I hope I can be home next month to see this car. Also it has about 48k miles and original owner purchase, do you guys think paying 8k was too much? Thanks for the help. It has ABS so I assume it has LSD. Oh and does anyone know where to buy a s14 digital climate control? This car might be a base model because the wheels are 4 lug I prob will look into converting that if i can find a wrecked 95+ SE.

I dont like those rims either, I will trade them for good ones when I get more money. Any suggestions about what to do with this car will help! (I plan on going KA24DET since the engine has so low miles but that will require lots of saving...)

Welcome to the club!

8K seems a bit high (I paid nearly half for mine) but its a kouki, people always want a lot for them.

Yeah, it looks like a base model with the optional SE wing and other SE bells and whistles. I'm so jealous.

If it were an LE model, you'd have leather and a sunroof too.

I love how the car looks with the stock skirts, if only I could find a site that sells that. I heard that if it has ABS then it has to have LSD, anyone know more about that? Also is it worth doing a 5 lug conversion, or is 4 lug just fine? I think the 4 lug is compatiable with many other vehicles (my friend has a 91 240sx and his wheels worked on my former 95 accord lx).

Yes, usually if you have ABS, you'd have LSD as well, it comes in a package.

BUT, the "4-Wheel Antilock Brakes w/Limited Slip" option isn't available for the base model. in any case, how do you know you have ABS?

Thanks gibbo, Kdashy, My father isnt home but I remember the lady telling me it does have ABS. My mother said that she showed her something that said SE on it, so no real proof as of now. The lady that sold it said she bought it as a show model which explains the extra features incase it is a base model. I will try and find out. Atleast it has manual, thats one big headache fixed.

Nice car, yeah those rims are a little "bling". Side skirts from the factory are gonna be xpensive $600+. I managed to find a used set from JDMAUTOHOUSE on ebay (search by seller and insert name). They wanted $300 which is still a little high considering they still need refinishing. Anyway, hope this helps.

I guess for that much I should just go aftermarket, thanks for the price info. Anyone know about acquiring digital climate control? Thanks.

By looking at the ad description it says special edition. I havent been able to contact my dad on duty days and he prob wouldnt know much about the car anyways. Is there such thing as a 1997 SE with 4 lug wheels and no side skirts?

Also for the side skirts, maybe people that put kits on their 240's might want to sell the stock ones.

SE's are 5 lug only, and the side skirts are standard, Probably a base model

I will accept the worst I guess. I read on that site about the specs for base/se and it says the suspension is different. How significant is this? I believe the base does not have a anti roll bar or something. Sorry for asking so many questions. But what upgrades should be done to increase suspension performance to SE or higher?

Worst???? WTF are you talking about, it's still a 240, it's still a beautiful car, you can still put an LSD on it, and it has very low miles, SE or not i'd still be really happy to have it if i were you.

Yeah your right sorry dont mean to sound negative like that. I am very excited to own this car ESPECIALLY after having a slow *** 95 accord. I just wish I could see it and drive it. If you guys join the military stay away from the long MOS, they suck!
