i just bought a redtop sr20det from jspecauto.com or jsamotors there out from canada, but anyway i was wondering from people that got a motor online , after you buy the engine do you have to send the wiring harness off and what extra parts should you buy , belts filters ext. (first swap)

Are we to understand that you bought a motor before researching the work and parts that are necessary for doing this swap?

I ought to say "search, this has been covered a thousand times" but I somehow feel that wouldn't quite be fitting.

There's a lot more that you need aside from belts and filters. Please do search, and not just on this site. An SR was my first swap, too, and there's so much information readily available that I never had to ask for any help until it was up and running, but running poorly (turned out to be a minor wiring mishap).

This may be a good purchase, if at least to help you understand what you're getting into: http://store.driftingshop.com/sh180sswandm.html

Get all the basic stuff that is required for the install first and then decide if you want to upgrage some things next.

I find it very hard to believe you when you say that you actually searched over and over and over, because the question you asked about wiring has been answered a billion times.

Any how, I agree with positron, I think your better off getting the OEM stuff first then once you've got the motor up and running like it should, then you can begin your upgrades.

Keeping it OEM just makes it easier when trying to figure out start up issues.
