Post

Hi guys.

Migrating from Toyota/Lexus, I've found my q45 excellent in riding especcialy with ICC, and also my car seem to really have only 65kmiles/110kkm in past.

Questions:
1. Do all q45 have an LSD / does mine have and how to learn this?
2. Active suspension - how does it work, where to read. I've had air suspension with TEMS in my toyotas twice, but current susp is new to me.
3. Navi - it would be great to replace Canada/US maps with Russia, but briefly found info tell there's now way at all
4. AV input for display - is it possible. Only audio is simple with cassette adapter, I want my video from iPhone->HDMI adapter->RCA converter (if needed)->(??)->Q45 display. I had it working in Lexus LS430, so I need only car input.
5. Does my car have any way to adopt car phone - either installing an old option hardware from other car or maybe bluetooth etc.?

:welcome: to NICO!

Is your Q a JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) version?

The Q45 sold in the USA during that model run did not come with a full active suspension as we think of it at least. I think we got some version of sport tuned suspension that's electronically controlled. The system is described pretty well in the factory service manual available at www.infinitiservicemanual.com

I don't think the Q in that era came with LSD either... Nissan had gone to relying on VDC for all of the stability and traction control functions by then.

I haven't heard of an auxiliary input for the AV display, but I'm not sure that it doesn't exist. I'm pretty sure the car did have Bluetooth from the factory.

My Q imported from Canada to Russia just after it was sold. (production and import year are the same)

VDC exists but previous owner ensured me that LSD is also there
Aux AV exists in JDM cedrics and cimas with TV tuner, I'm sure there's no Aux in my one, and I guess there's a way to install it somehow.

I also don't get whether rain sensor exists or not. Is something on the center of then windshield behind the rear view mirror a rainsensor? I also have no option to turn it on in the vehicle settings.
