Hello all, just bought a 2011 g25x sedan, it has the new engine infiniti started to use in the g sedan.. its a 2.5 v6 engine, very good combo for gas and power. Lets get a thread going on the mods and general discussion on the g25x.. i will post pictures up soon.. Look identical to a g37

its actually pretty fast.. i mean i had a subaru 3.6 before its a big step down but its not that noisey as a typical 2.5 is and its got pick up.. little bit slower despite the big difference 2.5 from a 3.6.. other than that im suprised how nice they made the g25x..

As mentioned above.

Altima: FWD, 2.5 4 cylinder
G25: RWD/AWD, 2.5 V6 (Same VQ series motor, just less displacement)

Just curious. What kind of mileage are you getting? Is it the same as the G37 other than the engine? Same trim, etc?

Just a wild guess no. Take a picture of your engine bay so we can see.

The motor is the VQ25HR so it has dual TB's like the VQ35HR so I would assume the same dual-intake systems would work here as well. Someone will have to check first of course.

Well I think for now you guys are better of here. Since mostly the same car we have and we can help you guys. There are not many of the 25 out. You wouldn't get any help or not much if it was on a dedicated forum to just for the 25's.

yeh mostly everything is the same as the g37.. good point.. but in the future i think more people will be getting the g25 since its a cheaper entry level AWD car from infiniti... then i could see a dedicated fourm.. but for now we will just mix in with the g37..

Welcome to NICO

Fill the tank and set the odometer to zero

Drive till the gas gauge is at 1/4 tank or below and refill the tank

divide the gallons into the miles traveled and let us know
Just curious

Will mean less on a new motor. The VQ's get better mileage after they are broken in.

That looks like it would take the aftermarket airintakes from G35/37.

Strange they made it a V6...They should have went with a turbo 4 IMO. Could have used the Juke engine...
