I love the acceleration and HP on this car. I have a couple of questions. I bought a black car because it looks great when it's clean, but it's very hard to keep it clean.

1) For those with black cars, what do you do to keep your car clean? Will running it through an automatic car wash ruin the paint?

2) I bought the Appearance Protection Package. Can I bring in my car to the dealership as many times as I want to get it washed and cleaned?

welcome to NICO!!

I also have a black '37 sedan...best color IMO :)

To keep it clean I recommend a good polish/wax. Zaino has always been great for my vehicles! Not only does it protect the paint, but it stays looking clean between washes longer. As for the auto car wash, if it's a touch-less one, you're fine. You never want to take a nice car in the auto washes that have brushes that touch other peoples' nasty crap. I've heard horror stories of barbed wire getting caught in the brushes and destroying whoever is next in line...

Not sure on the package...call your dealer to find out the details.

How often do you polish/wax? My dealer said twice a year is good.

Usually twice a year is good. I usually do 2-3 times a year (spring and fall minimum) and watch for the car to stop beading.

I've only zaino'd my car once....that was last year. It still has good protection and keeps clean. I do use the Z6 spray when I wash it...that may have extended the effectiveness of the polish.

I'll probably do it again this spring.

Hey everyone. New 2011 G37x Coupe owner here as of yesterday afternoon. Coming from a BMW 335i xDrive and really loving the change in luxury and comfort so far. Have the Nav and Premium with interior accent packages with Shadow Gray with Stone interior. Looks very elegant.

Probably will have lots of questions as I get to know her so I'll be trolling for data for now.

Thanks and I look forward to engaging on things

Martin
