Finally got with the times and bought a digital camera. Got an HP Photosmart 320... Got a rippin' deal ($109), so I'm excited.

In the next few weeks, you guys are gonna see pics of Quella, riced-out cars, me, my kids, the dogs, my Suburban, my garage, my office, my toenail clippings... LOL

(j/k) I'll try to keep the pics to a minimum...:D

How is paying $100 for a $240 camera getting "ripped off"? Check the specs...

I have a Sony videocamera, Sony home theater, I just didn't want to drop a lot of $$$ on a digital camera that I'll only use to post web images.

Besides, "best" is a relative term - There's better high-end stuff out there.

good findings fellow SBG! :) I want to buy a high end digi cam... I am actually going to go for the Pentax optio S... the smallest 3.2MP cam out there.. fit's inside of an altoid can! and it takes great pic's better than any other cams in it's class...IMHO.... even better than Sony and Canon elph...

but that's going on a tangent... you got a really good deal!!!

Thanks Anand - I think it'll do for what I needed.

I've designed a windshield banner for NICO that I want to post a pic of - It's been on my car for 4 days and already it's generated a lot of interest...

EDIT: either your friend needs to lock his front door or you need to get better friends!

I have an HP myself and it serves it's purpose, if I could just find that dang cord........ Guess I'll have to buy a multi-medium reader.

One bit of advice from a fellow HP digi-camera guy, it EATS batteries. Mine uses 4 AA and I can put new ones in it, turn it on, look at the cool pics. Turn it off and the next time I pick it up the batteries are dead. I'm talking as little as a week later. So, be warned the HP's (or at least mine) eats batteries.

Thanks Nick - I can only think of one really good use for the camera/phone combo... and it AIN'T appropriate to discuss on a "family" forum. :D

Man, my friend had a sweet 4.1 megapixel sony digicam but he traded it for a fishtank before I could buy it from him. I woulda got it for soo cheap too cuz he didn't know what it was realy worth. Now I realy want one, but I can't afford a camera with the kind of quality I want. I also need a video camera too. oh and a paintjob for my car. and of course a new motor, and some rims would be nice. and . . .

Where does your friend live? In a house in the middle of Compton with now blinds on his windows and no lock on his door? Or maybe he just has a lot of clepto friends and family? That sucks.

nah he lived in the good side of town, in a nice neighbor hood, the video camera was actually up on a stand peeking down out the blinds at the front door with a monitor in the basement and lviing room so we could see if someone was goin to try and come in on us! it was a bad situation we were all in but i think he sold it or it was a pill head that stole the Digi camera and some other stuff that took it ! they were all suposed friends too but none of them were worth a damn when Sh_it hit the fan

i have a kodak DX4900 4.0MP and it does the same damn thing.. i used to use rechargables but it would eat them after 5 -10 pics.. then i switched to normal AA and it seems to work for a day or 2.. wtf u would think they could make it better..

get some nickel metal hydride batteries

They cost about 25 bucks for 4 with a charger, but they will last a long time if you take care of them
