There really is no coupe out here in my city that can make people say damn!! So i just bought this 91 coupe with hopes of been that one coupe!!!

I got it for $400 its supposed to be SE but cant tell since its AUTO and manual locks and windows. id how to tell. It has two dents on in the door and one on the pass fender with about 3 inches of rust on the pass sideskirts under the door but its not that bad.

Motor wise its got 130k but the timing chain is all jacked up it basicly broke and tore up the whole timing system or what ever it is.

It doenst really bug me because i was just looking for a coupe shell and i scored in my book.

Ill post more pics later but for now heres what i Got and my plans.

Auto to man swap Sr swapSiliva front end swap

my goals are to make 350hp/300 tq DD

now a few things that stump me are how to reach this the fastest possilbe way with spending no more that what i should and still be in the safe limits of my motor

now i figured easiest way is to buy a front clip and just do all the boltons with a bigger turbo but iusse i run into is how safe would a stock sr run at 350 hp/300 tq range?

with the front clip i can get the full auto to man swap and the siliva conversion for around 3k to 4k and but then what? will the engine handle that? permitting i get a low mileage engine of course

now for paint well i dont like the tan and its tan on the inside so really it probly be cheapest to keep the inside tan but how hard would it be to go from tan to black? can i repaint the plastic and just replace carpet and head liner? are there any good looking tan interior coupes on here that can make me change my mind? what ext color goes good with tan inter? any sweet looking aftermarkets seats that go with tan?

also how hard is it to add power windows and locks?

and last but not least will rolling my fenders give me a mean aggressive stance? and whats the widest size rims i can fit to get that look with out having to find x11s,x12s ect rims?

Well if you wanna do a Silfront and an SR all in one bang, I suggest you just buy a front clip.

For the brown interior, its not that hard a swap. The only real b**** is when you pull the dash and then have to reconnect everything. So yeah, not hard.

Nice coupe btw, looks like a good clean start.

If youre on a budget, you might stick with the KA. I am on one myself and will probably stick with it for a while. If you build the bottom end and do some mild head work(cams) you should be able to run around 10-15psi of boost pretty easy provided you tune it.(Nistune for a daughter board tune or AEM standalone w/ Wide band if you have 1500 and want a good tune.) Don't get me wrong the SR is a sound engine but for a budget build the KA will give you solid power and for a good price. And because so many people swap spare engines are plenty. Anyways, good find! I bought 2 autos myself the swap is no prob. Good luck.

Manual windows/doors, no sunroof or spoiler... only thing left is cruise. Def has to be a base model.

400 wow sounds like me. i just got a SE 89 hatch running no rust for that (new shell). lol.

You want power windows, you need-Knowledge of the wiring system-power Door panal (unless you want the hole there)-Power window regulator

locks.... the timing unitwiring system knowledge again. etc

Your better off raping a SE for all its worth. and for that matter get the black interior. You can how ever dye the fabric such as the headliner using Fabric dye like RIT's. Make sure its 100% dry before messing with the newly dyed surface.

Idk about you, but i dont have money to be pissing away at a while front clip for s*** i dont need. You can get a Full Sr20det motorset (motor/transmission/harness/ecu etc) for around 1500 (this based on personal expiance from a local place, Japan star Motors here in albany ny. i know the owner so... prices are a little bit better then average. EDIT, new owner as of fall 09 is a d!ck. no more specail prices lol) Then get a silvia conversion for 1000. s*** you can piece one together for cheap. My friend just got fenders for 75 shipped on zilvia, front bumper for 30 picked up etc. FIND THE DEALS. altho you with that front clip you can go rhd haha

thanx for the input guys

reason for front clip is that ive seen front clips for around 3,000 with fenders hood lights engine, transmission, ecu, drive shaft front and rear brakes ect and having all that means going from auto to man is alot easiser

plus ive got buyers lined up for the whole front end, engine, and transmission so i can get what i paid for the car by parting out

money wise well i work in the world of cellular sales and if i do my job affording all this could be relitivly easy but i dont want to jinx so im just gonna save save save and pray pray pray

I got a freaking mission to complete and that is show all these honda guys in my town that honda isnt the only thing out here (my dd is a del sol btw)
