Well I guess we just joined the convertible club, almost. We bought a 94 Convertible off Ebay that looked good from the pics, bad problem was, it was in Texas, we are in Georgia, also the car won't go into reverse. Well my wife and I drive out to Texas to pick it up, 12.5 hour drive one day. We get to the car at 3 am, its cold as hell, the car looked better in the pics than in person, but its nothing that can't be fixed. Well the car ran fine around town but had some issues, first the rear windows weren't seating up with the door windows, so there were some airflow problems, second the heat wasn't working, they bypassed it. So its around 30 degress I am in shorts sandals and a t-shirt, it was warmer in Georgia. We get in the car to leave and go get a hotel. Morning comes, we start to leave, after buying a blanket and gloves, the damn transmission won't go out of second. A 800 miles drive at 55mph will be a long trip, so we drive for about 10 mintues, and the cars kicks hard and goes into drive, finally, 5 minutes later I smell burning transmission fluid and see smoke. So we pulled into a gas station and my car is still down there, gotta have it towed Monday back to here.

Once it gets here we have a Mines powered RB20/Manual swap going in, suspension, rb20 4.36 diff, and monkey bars. Later we are gonna do paint a new top, Version Select Version 3 kit, 50mm widebody, and WORK wheels.

First thing, anyone know how to get the rear side windows to line up, mine kind of wobble front to rear, and have gaps, don't seem like they will line up.

Look forward to driftn with the top down.

Hey, welcome to the club!!!

I used to brag that I was the only RB swap in a 'vert that I had heard of. Guess it had to end sometime.

Can't wait to see it with a body kit! Nice!

Good Luck with everything.

We can't have an auto shop car, just no fun, so might as well swap motors while we're at it, we already have our KA-T.

Awesome, JD!

For some reason, the vert transmissions were the worst.... Maybe it's the extra weight.

Plans sound great, post up some pics as it progresses!

Hey greg, do you know what why these rear windows don't seat up with the fronts?

Can you post up a couple pics?

Need to know what plane they are misaligned in.
