I just bought a 1991 240 (again), and the front wheels don't fit (i have the stock wheels up front for now). They're 17x7 with a +42 offset, however the car also has a TEIN HR suspension. I think i read you need an offset of lower than +40, so my question is will a 5mm spacer fix this. Thanks for your help.

uh if you can jack up the car and put them on to see if it's hitting the coilovers and meaure how much space you need that'll be your best bet.

but imo if i were to buy a spacer for a 17x7+42 itd be like 25-30mm+ so just get something big to fix the sunken look.

Well its not touching when the wheels are straight, only when i turn. I would like to use the smallest size spacer possible.

why so small? safety issues? i haven't seen any problems with wheel spacers at all. go try out a 10mm if you want then.
