Hey guys, I've been on here a couple of times during my search for a 240 but I finally found one!!! I'm making the final arrangements today and I should have it by the end of next week, I'm really excited. I have been in the "import scene" for a few years driving an Accord (yes, a Honda :oface ) so I really don't know much at all about Nissans. Here are my plans, let me know what you guys think:S14 SR20DET (everybody’s doing it!!) with the necessary upgradesBuddy Club Race Spec Coilover systemBuddy Club Spec III ExhaustBuddy Club P1 II or QF (wheel size/tire size?)D.A.D Racing SeatsHELLA HID Kit B&M Short Shift kitSome sort of brake upgrade... suggestions?

In case you are wondering why I'm going with so much Buddy Club stuff its because I am a distributor for the exclusive US Importer and I am able to get any Buddy Club part at reasonably good pricing within 3 weeks.

welcome. Dont go with a s14 sr if you want to do major upgrades. and dont do it cause everyone is doing it. dont go with a B&M shifter, go with C's. No D.A.D. seats, just cheap sparco knockoffs, Does Hella even make a conversion for the s14? and as for brakes, go with a Z system. good luck, and have fun with your new toy.

Which engine would you suggest going with? I wanted to go with a C's shifter but I don't know who sells them, I thought Options did but I didn't see it listed. I'm going with D.A.D seats because I stock them and sell them, while they are a Sparco knockoff they are the nicest knockoffs around :).Where is the best place to find a brake system from a Z?

JSPEC.com has the C's shifters, they will order you one if you place a request. Go with what you have seats wise:) . and as for the Z conversion, you'd have to find a Z in the junkyard or find someone selling the parts.

Wow, $5900 is pretty cheap for a 98 240sx SE. Beware though, the car may have been hit in the rear, hence the new paint, airbag warning light, and check engine light. The seller wasn't too honest about this particular car, since he just said

"It has a clear title but has had paint work on the rear of the car."

Anyhow, good find! :)

Yeah I did a CarFax and it showed the rear hit. I didn't think air bags were affected by rear end collisions are they?

heavythrottle.com has the z break kits. if your going to get a SR and want to make it faster with less money, get the s13.you dont have to get the SR, you could just turbo the KA. theres just so many choices with this car :rolleyes .

It depends on how hard the car was rear-ended. Airbags don't deploy unless the car is subjected to a certain amount of shock.

$350 plus shipping also - lines NOT included.

Beware, shipping can be pricey as the rotors are heavy. But I get a slight break on shipping costs...

Stick with genuine Nissan pads for BEST results.

E-me off board if you're interested.
