I had a 93 J30 once. It has the VG30DE engine which is similar to the one found in an na 300zx. So yes for engine mods most na 300zx parts will probably work. It also has the same transmission as the na 300zx.

I would try to find out if the timing belt was replaced on the J30. It's an interference engine. Good luck with the car - I enjoyed mine when I had it (mine was rusty!).

-- Nice to meet another J owner. Welcome to Nico, it is Nice. Congrats on the new ride, there's no real aftermarket for the J, my best advice is to keep it simple, these cars are nice stock. BTW the J30 forum is prolly where you want to ask those questions, plenty of helpful knowledge to draw from there.

Welcome to NICO!!!

Unfortunatly there is no performance aftermarket for the J, other then the JWT popcharger (if Jim Wolf Technologies still makes it) and Level 10 performance transmissions.
