Well, I just purchased my first 240 over the weekend. It's a 1990, 5-speed, and I'm in love. I'm coming from a '03 civic, and i couldnt be happier with the decision. I did have a couple questions though. Where could I go to find more information about the car. I know i could search the forums, but is there any websites that anybody knows of with general info, specs, etc. on the 240? Something that I could use for quick reference... Also, when I purchased it, it had an Injen short ram intake, Monza 4-2-1 headers, Monza exhaust, true short shifter, Eibach Sportline springs (2” drop), and Tokico Blues shocks. Needless to say, it handles amazingly and is pretty quick. I don't know a lot about 240's (yet) so if anyone could help lead me in the direction of the next logical steps to take, it'd be appreciated. I don't have tons of money to drop into it right now, so no engine swaps or turbos (yet). Well, i guess that's all for now. TIA!!

I'm in the same boat as you, but didn't want to get flamed to use the search button. I picked up an 89 fastback. Plan on doing some major project work with it but I'm looking for good informational websites too.

i too have a '90, although mine is more on the stock side, however, try to search the forums for the FSM, that will give you some good info about the car, i think it is simmilar if not the same as the schiltons(sp) you can buy for your car at kragen or what not...also try looking at the forums from as far back a date as you can and just read, you can learn a lot that way, and if you have any ???s then post again, most of the time you wont get flamed if pose your question in an intelligent wayBTW welcome to the forums...

Is there a FAQ on this site? I've noticed them on other forums and have been busy reading them. For now I'm trying to catch all the stickies.

welcome to the boards.

check the FAQ on 240sx.org. there is lots of information on there (I think there is even a link to SOHC performance).

It sounds like you found a great starter car. You don't really need to do much else that would be worth while(except maybe tires and brakes). what are you gonna use the car for is what really indicates what mods should be done.

you should read up on the ka and tech forums. since you have a ka it makes sense. but its also good to go back in the archives and just read for an hour or so. it will give you some good info all around.

welcome and good luck with your car.

D'oh! I completely forgot about the FAQ on the home page http://www.240sx.org/faq/index.html I read that thing from beginning to end about two years ago when I first wanted to get a 240sx project car. Thanks for reminding me! There's tons of great info there. Guess it's time for me to reread it.
