just bought a 86 720 ex-cab!!! NEED HELP

well its got 190,000 miles or so. he told me that it had a bad head gasket?? BUT no water in oi? he said a hose under the intake mani (towards front) popped off and he made another and it popped right off to. he started it up and it sounded like it ran great ? no smoke or nothin. i mean the oil was CLEAN. any ideas? o yeah i only paid 350! well i put 60 down i need to come up with the rest still

Check the radiator and see if there is oil in there. Should see it float by.Do this when the engine is cool.

i didnt see any residue. the rad is low/empty from the hose blowing off.

good idea. but the dip stick was on its mark, an no coolant in oil?
