hey congratulations on finding us!

heres some guidelines for n00bs that i made up due to some recent drama:

1. keep your fantastical plans and delusions of grandeur to yourself for a while. starting a thread about how youre planning to swap a triple turbo 2jz and a skyline drivetrain into your 240 wont make for a productive discussion, and you WILL get flamed. having an imagination and being creative is encouraged, but maybe tone it down a lil while youre still figuring out whats up...

2. SEARCH!!!!! for any questions you might have, take the time to make sure they havent already been asked and answered.

3. dont ask a stupid question (hey we all do it, no big deal!) and expect not to get messed around with. have a sense of humor, and dont get into a pissing match with anyone. everyone looks more retarded for it. i should know, i am retarded.

4. enjoy your car responsibly. it sucks to see a fellow 240 owner wreck his car! especially if its bad enough to where you cant offer us usable parts at low, low prices!

and thats about all i can think of. feel free to add to it, im pretty new as well...

OMG! A n00b that INTRODUCES themselves to the community before trying our patience! I think we've found our N00b of the Month!

The man speaks the truth; don't question his authority on being retarded. There have been instances when I felt that I was retarded, and d!ck showed up to put my in my distinctively non-retarded place!

Anyway, just to expand on what d!ck was getting at, it's really not a problem if you ask a n00b question and you're told to search. If you try to search and find nothing, say so. Someone will probably do the search for you just to be an arse, but then you'll have your answer, and maybe a better grip on this whole searching thing.

More than anything, try to trust the information people give you. Most of us really like n00bs and want to help out. Just don't be the kind that doesn't listen to someone's advice or information if it doesn't agree with what you believe. And, above all, don't take ANYTHING personally! It's the Internet.

So, welcome to NICO, n00b. I hope you learn a lot and that you'll really enjoy being a part of this community.

Oh, and that RB26DETT swap you mentioned in your other thread? Hit me up via e-mail ([email protected]) or AIM (masticatingc0w) before you start asking questions about it... let's talk a little bit about your plans, okay?
