just bought a 1990 240 and have a problem

ok so i bought a 1990 240 for $500 the only prob was the dude that had the car b4 me broke the key in the ingnition in the off position and the steering wheel locked dont wanna pay uber dollars to have some dbag mechanic do sumthin stupid and tell me that its gonna cost 3-400 dollars please help

if the key is in there, you should be able to turn, unless its not the right key...which would explain how the po broke it off. i had a key broken off in a door once, i just used a bit of super duper super glue on the tip of a flat head screwdriver. just held it there till i was sure it was dry. then slowly and carefully pull the key out.

Just go and buy another ignition that comes with the key and put it in .If you go to rock auto i think they have them plus they cheaper then other places.
