Just bought a '06 M45 sport

Hey guys,

I've learned a lot about my new (to me) '06 M45 sport by reading a bunch of posts today. I would just like some reply's on any concerns/things to be aware of when operating or maintaining my M45.

Also, drop some ideas on some easy mods to make my experience more pleasant...faster, tech tricks, etc.

I'm thinking about the video switch (not to be talked about) and a cold air intake(INJEN). Has anyone installed a computer??

Nothing extravagant, just some friendly advise please.

Do not do the cold air kit unless you want worse performance. We will leave it at that. Also, there is no gains to be had from the K&N drop in filter either. Another waste of money. For right now, your only power adder will be exhaust. Stillen or Element 114 make the best exhaust for our cars that actually sound good and give more performance. 2/10 drop in 1/4 mi time on the Stillen was proven by a member. Computer, there is nothing....yet. The only guys I know of that is tuning these cars so far is Uprev: http://www.uprev.com/ They are located in Austin, TX. You would need to talk to Rich and he will provide you with the info about their tuning process. They do not list the M45 as a vehicle they tune on their website...yet.Do not take your ECU out and send it to Jet. We have no feed back on them. All the info you need on performance and hacks for the M45/ M35 is located within this website. You just need to learn to use the Search bar first. Welcome to Nicoclub!
