Does anyone know how difficult it is to find a clean black on black with tech pkg & low miles? Not to mention that when you do find one the cost is much more than any other color combo. This made my life impossible for the last two months. This was my second dealer auction and finally after much searching nailed one, albeit a bit more than expected but with 32,800 miles I think I got a great car.
Now for the questions...1. The car didn't come with the floor mats and I looked on ebay and found nothing. Does anyone know where to get these in black without paying the high dealer price?
Do a search here on the floor mats. You may even want to give
http://www.everythinginfiniti.com a look. They have items and parts for our cars pretty reasonably priced. 1a. Same question for winter mats? Same as above.
2. This car only came with one key, do they normally only come with one key?
No, they originally come with 2 key fobs with manual key inserts and one plain all metal manual wallet key in a plastic pouch. 2a. Anyone know roughly how much another one is if I want to get one?
Not sure how much, but will require it to be reprogrammed at an additional cost....then again this may be able to be done yourself....need to look in owners manual.
3. I LOVE the 19" sport rims. I have looked on here and nobody seems to be willing to ship them if not local. Does anyone know where to grab a set? (again without paying the dealer high price). I see some on ebay but they are only those chrome exchanges
Have you looked at the Wheels & Tires Classifieds at this website?? People are constantly selling their factory 19" wheels. Also, why not just invest in a nice set of aftermarket wheels? They are not all as expensive as you might think when you buy the Wheel and tires as a combo.
4. The wood trim is ok, but I would rather have the aluminum trim. Anyone know where I can purchase a factory kit for this and how much?
There are a few websites that offer the trim kits, but I'm not sure if the kits come with every single replacement trim piece. Try and search that out at this website.I personally like both trims. I don't see the wood grain trim as a bad looking interior item. It gives the M's interior a bit more class in my opinion.
Comments:When driving it home from the auction, there were some tire grooves in the highway and I was jumping lanes without notice (tramlining or something) this was unexpected and pretty dangerous if you are not ready for it.
If the factory Goodyear RS-A's are still on there, then there is your answer. Search out tires people recommend to rid most of the tramlining.
The memory seat,.. when my wife set hers on the 2 position and then got out of the car the seat didn't back up so when I went to get in I pushed the 1 position for my seat settings with the driver door open and before I sat down and nothing happened, the seat didn't move to my position. After I squeezed in on her setting and then pushed my setting did the seat move. We just bought an Acura MDX and when you open the driver door and press the seat position it will adjust before you sit down. Why doesn't my M35X or did I do something wrong?
Ahhh, seems to be a problem with this sometimes. Look in your owners manual on how to reset and reprogram the memory seats. If this still does not work, take it in to the dealer and have them reprogram/ reset the memory seat system.
If I get that aluminum dash kit I may have to do that DVD Nav hack, the way it comes is just plain stupid. If you want your passenger to to be able to watch a DVD or adjust the settings, then too bad you have to pull over. If they had any brains why didn't they just have an override set for the passenger airbag on/off switch????
If you are going to go to the extent of replacing all the interior trim pieces then you might as well do the DVD hack.
I read about the windshield wipers not being able to pull up once they are in the stowed position under the hood, a bit weird.
Sorry, but unfortunately it comes with the territory. You are not the only one to complain of this. Yes, you have to catch them in the upright position and shut off the car to keep them there. This is the only way to replace them unless you want to remove the hood instead...
Besides those nitpicking points,.. GREAT car. The technology is awesome, the styling is classy and eye catching, and the power is exhilarating!
Any and all help is fully appreciated
