On the way home from buying my car, I was super excited and wanted to rock out to some music. Turn on the FM radio and barely could get any radio stations. Call dealer, they tell me to drive back the car. Drive back 30 miles to dealer, they give me smelly old loaner. They said it'll take a couple hours to diagnose/fix. Get a call next day saying that the antenna plug was unplugged, they plug back in and it works. Got the car back and radio works fine but now I'm worried if nissans QA didn't catch something like this, what else did they miss? Or am i just being paranoid.

Also, how loud is too loud for the CVT acceleration noise? This is my first CVT and I can hear the rev over the radio when i'm accelerating? Is this normal, whers the line when the revving noise is not normal?

Thank you

I would say the antenna is a small enough oversight and not much to worry about aside from the fact you had to drive back and forth to the dealer.

You need to get used to the CVT, applying additional throttle only leads to higher revs and not an immediate increase in speed like a standard transmission. Accelerate slowly until the vehicle gets up to speed then you can apply more throttle. If your revs are high back off the accelerator some until the CVT catch's up. It reminds me of the go carts we had as kids with a lawnmower engine and a CVT type clutch chain drive.

It does require a bit of a learning curve to get used to. I'm still getting acclimated and I am almost a month with it.

the revvign noise is the engine, not the transmission. the transmission whines when warm/hot. get used to it. that crap is mad annoying. reminds me of a scooter.

I'm a discouraged 2016 owner too. I've had mine since November and it's had a squeak /chirp since the first month. I'm 100% sure it's coming from the panoramic roof. I've had it back twice. First time they said they couldn't find it. Second time they said two screws were loose in the track. Well, the noise is back and driving me crazy. I do not expect a brand new car to sound like this.

I have a rattle in my 2015 Rogue SL (5400 miles) as well, and it bugs the crap out of me. I checked the Pano roof tracks and areas up and down the roof and could not located the noise. I finally found that the "Grab" handle above my head (driver) has a slight movement left to right and when driving over a bump or on rough roads, it rattles. The noise is irritating. I am able to replicate the noise and planning to call the dealer and schedule an appointment to have it checked out. It is probably something I could engineer and resolve, but the vehicle is too new to start that type of stuff..

Out of all the vehicles I have owned, the Rogue has the absolute worst build quality I have ever seen. There are many issues from the factory as well as issues that are a result of poor workmanship. And, mine is a 2011 and built in Japan which everyone keeps thinking means "quality".

I believe the sticker on the inside driver door frame states 33psi per tire.

Why would the dealer over inflate the tires ? On my 2016 Rogue SL AWD, the tires are at 48 psi. The sticker says 33 psi. You would think the dealer knows !
This is my first non GM product. I hope this will last me for years !

I am wondering if they saw a "max PSI" on the sidewall of the tire and just inflated to that? It would seem odd if they inflated every tire to 48PSI that 48PSI was not the number they were trying to hit. I can see one being a mistake, but if they are all at 48PSI it seems intentional and the max PSI is the only number I know of that might reach that high.

(and no, you should not inflate to the max PSI - I am not saying that)

I have the exact same issue.
Will you let me know how they fixed it?

Sure, as soon as I can get it to the dealership, I will post an update..
