Ehh small update on current stuff... I'll dyno soon again I think... But 1st I'll get all jacked up on anti depressants so I don't cry and the numbers.

I had an erg to tint it....... So I did.

EDIT: Sorry about the 2 stack sideways... I run at 1600x1200 so it looks good on my monitor.

Yeah 6AL... I did not want one to fancy. I have other big ideas for my ignition...

I also have to gap my plugs to .025 or the spark blows out. I hope I can up it to .040 or .050... I also have neat plugs that have a huge gap (unsetable)... I'll try them out to.

I also like the option of adding launch control to this one.

what kind and where did you get that catch can? and if i'm seeing correctly you have it coming from the valve cover to the can then back into the intake?

looks nice, esp that big honkin filter. i may have to get one of them to.

I got mine from http://www.pdm-racing.com...

I got it there because I have ordered from them before. and it was cheepest... It catches oil... So cheep is fine... (I should have painted it black...) (Still can!)

I do dislike how it was setup... If you look it converts to a small hose at the valve cover... Then to get it back to my intake I has to get 4 foot of 5/16 hose... I used a piece of the small blue hose to make the red fitting on the can larger. then I slipped the 5/16 over and clamped it down good...

It works fine I guess. Its not like its a show car. as long as it doesn't look to stupid I'm good.

hey, Ive got the exact catch tank in the exact same place. Which set of instruction did you use to modify the distributer for the MSD? LINK?

I like the pink zip-ties... I don't have to look hard for them...

I have not done the wiring yet...

In fact this is something I am not going to do myself... I don't feel like messing with it. And I hope the shop can get the new coil on and bypass the stock one... If I installed it wrong and blew up my distributor or ecu I would cry... and then smash something. And then I'm going to second on the. "I don't feel like messing with it."

Yeah thats a good spot for a catch-can... I put it there just incase I run a new cold pipe... Wanted to leave room for it...

I think my next project it to create some air ducting for the front bumper and under car to suck more cold air in... Should be fun, just needa go buy a rivit gun and some tin sheets.

it allows for a stronger, better spark to burn the air/fuel mixture for proper combustion. Also on turbo cars we generaly lower our plug gap or the car will miss if boosting and the gap is too big, which allows to run boost but realistically its a bandaid method of fixing the problem. With an MSD unit you can run a bigger gap and it will have enough power to properly ignite the mixture. For the higher boost levels its almost neccessary as the stock ignition system doesnt cut it.

Yeah... with stock gap I was blowing out the spark at 6psi. I had to gap it to .028 to run up to 10psi... I have regapped them to .025 for my 10-12 that I run.

I cant wait to get this installed... I just hope it makes normal driving better.

Hey RED, are you having any clearance issues with your cold side piping run like that, because I just got my pipes cut the same way and I'm worried that they'll hit the ground and break apart.

It seems to work... I do and have been getting little missfires for a while... That's one of the reasons for the ignition. I am hoping that it will clear up a few issues.

You will have no issues if its rn the same as mine... By the time you bottom out your car to hit the pipes, that's the least of your worries.
