I am a proud owner of a 2012 infiniti M56 , 33 Living in michigan
in january 2015 i started looking for a replacement for my 06 m35x great car i was just never in love with it, i started looking at he newer M series and fell in love , but with the gas mileage of the m35x 18mpg on the highway if i was lucky i figured i would go RWD and V8 this time so m56 was my preferred choice , i found one that i wanted in a downtown chicago dealership , when i walked in the door in my opinion i got stereotyped , they wanted to run my credit and all my credentials before they would even allow me to drive or see the car , i immediately walked away , i wasn't there to play games i was there to get a car , so i found another both were in the chicago area , miles were a little higher than i wanted m56 tech and sport package , not the s version tho black on black , i call , no hassle at all when i showed up for my appointment it was washed ready and waiting , it to 30 seconds to know it was what i wanted , it was nice and crazy fast, i bought it it had a little over 68k on it , i never had one problem out of my m35x so i didn't bother with the warranty ,
1 week after i buy it it start sputtering , i take it in to my local dealership they say it's coming up with timing chain codes , but they said nothing was wrong , 2nd week i have it it cuts off wont start , im stuck downtown chicago , i take the battery cord off the terminal it resets runs like a top im thinking its a computer glitch, i think all is well , between the second and third week , its tarts to sputter again every time i try to accelerate , dealer believes its just an o2 sensor or bad air filters so i put some new ones in it seems to be running fine , on the 3rd weekend is where it gets ugly , im headed to chicago from west michigan , i get on it some and BOOM whole car cuts off , im stuck in the middle of nowhere , i try start it it sounds like someone is hitting the in side of my motor with a hammer , i look at my milage and im 306 miles past the manufacturer's warranty , i get it towed to the dealership in west michigan , they tell me my motor is trash and its a 15k replacement i freak out , the service guy looks at me and says holy s*** i just found something out in the service notes , i say what he says to me 300 miles before you bought it the dealership you bought if from did timing chains tensioners and guides on that car and i bet they didnt tell you , granted its my fault for not asking for service records prior but i then new why the price dropped for sitting so long it came to them in nov , i bought it in march , none the less he tells me there is no way that motor fails if they did that job properly , so im a it frantic but level headed trying to figure it all out , so i call the dealer ship as well as infiniti corporate , the dealership in chicago sends for the car , they call infiniti , it takes over a month i have no rental they finally gave me a loaner after 2 weeks without a car and thank goodness i always have a second car , 1978 malibu , so the old chevy started right up and i drove that , so finally in may they call me and say infiniti approved me for a new motor i wont have to pay a dime for anything and my car will be ready in a week
nice to meet you folks , hopefully i can gain and give some knowledge where and when its needed
