Firstly I understand this would have a high cost/hp, involve lots of work, I'd run into many issues, and at the end of the day won't be worth the money. (So don't tell me just swap or turbo it)

Me and my buddy were talking about a build for the KA24DE in my S14 that I just might want to do.

Basically I get the Brian Crower 2.6 liter kit, run aggressive cams, redo the valve train, get some head work done, and then put on the Vortech v3 supercharger with some meth injection.

One thing we hadn't decided on was do I get a better intake manifold and run FI, or go with some blowthrough carbs (I like that idea. I like carbs and want as little electricity as I can)

Then I lighten up the drive train, throw on big brakes, a 4.36 diff and maybe a z33 transmission.

The end goal of this would be to make a car that has absolutely monstrous torque and is really responsive....fuel efficiency and top speed be damned.

Anyways, aside from funding , what are the biggest issues you think I'd run into? Thoughts in general?
I think it'd be boat loads of fun and really unique.

Need to mod the oil squirters on the stroker kit IIRC. I've got build pages around here of my 2.6L conversion (I went NA, though I've often thought about what it would have been like to supercharge), there should be some other useful info.
Here's a thought- if you build on a stock block to start, supercharge, cams, find a header that flows well (or build one); you'll be in for less money to start, you can trouble shoot before pushing the envelope, you'll be able to figure out where deficiencies are when you do push, and then if the stock block pops you can rebuild with the 2.6L crank.

You think get everything done first and then the 2.6? I was actually leaning towards doing the stroker kit first and having a bit more NA fun while I get the money for the rest of the build, but you make a really good point.

Also, the plan was to buy another KA and build one while having my car still drivable. Thoughts on that?

If you've got an extra block, I'd probably still say get the kinks out of the supercharger first. A stroked NA KA can be fun, but I went through a lot of money to reach my goals. And you'd probably still be faster than my car with just a supercharger. I don't know if there are kits now for SCs, so you might be doing some trial and error just to get it to fit, and since you do need to mod the block for the stroker, I'd say don't trial and error on a block that's been customized.
But that's, you know, my opinion, man.
Good luck whatever you decide!

There aren't any kits for what I want, so I'll end up doing fabricating work. I'm thinking of taking out the power steering and mounting the Vortech thereabouts.
I hadn't thought about what you're saying about the block work. I'll be doing the 2.6 stroker later it looks like.
Thanks!

That's pretty much what I was thinking...
You definitely have a "2-stage" build being considered. You can most definitely knock 1 out without the other... but it seems like you'd have to undo all your supercharger and meth bits if you decided to go 2.6l later.
