Hey guys I got a question.

My RB25 seems to get a really lopey idle, and studder under boost soemtimes once the car gets to operating temperature.

My thought for this is I have a broken clamp on a coupler right on the turbo where it connects to the hot pipe, and when that coupler gets hot, it expands, letting in more air, and eltting out boost, more so then when the coupler was cold, hence letting the car run right and boost right when its colder, then when it egts hotter. Does this sound right to you guys>

But my friend also brough up, that since Im running open turbo elbow right now, it could be messing with my fuel trims. That when I first start the car its running off another loop where its not reading the o2 sensor, but the minute that car warms up enough, and starts reading the o2 sensor, it starts going whack becayuse theres so much turbulence down by the o2 sensor. Does that sound right?

BTW, my car is still not responding to throttle input sometimes after a long full boost pull, and soemtimes it doesnt even have to be long pulls.

Let me know what ya guys think, Im replacing the clamp today, Ill get back

Your clamp scenario is unlikely. The 02 scenario seems more likely IMO.

Have you done a boost leak test?

No I havent. I found the idle issue tho. My idle is too low.

How do your properly adjust the idle on an RB25?

Reason Im calling a boost leak tho is because I have a small amount of oil comin out of the coupler by the turbo that connects to the hotpipe.

My turbo IS NOT blown, I know that for a fact, I jsut dont have a correct PCV system, just the tube running from my freddy intake, to the passenger valve covver, to the bent stock tube to the driver side valce cover, with a breather on top of that.
