as all of you know, I have a 1993 240sx with a ka24de-t. I recently bought a 1997 240 with an extremely leaky motor. I decided to put an s14 (slant back) sr20 in it. Ill be posting the pros and cons of the install, the drivability, and likes and differences. Ill be sure to take plenty of pics. Hope this is interesting to you guys and also if someone on here has already did something like this recently and posted it, just tell me and I wont do it.

I'm liking the sound of a ka-t vs sr comparison... from a person that owns both simultaneously...

We all know which will be the winner, whats the point.

But seriously, that would be cool, Id like to have one of each if I could. Next project for sure will be a s13 coupe with silvia front end and a SR.

ya keep us posted as i honestly have never heard of someone owning one of each. just make sure to have the sr car as the DD and leave the KA-T for the track............let the SR engine catch up to the KA in mileage and lets see how they fair out.

My next is a S13 with an RB

It would be better to have the same chassy for this kind of test...

And are you going to do the test per PSI or HP?

On pump gas???? If you want a decent powerband, you may want to consider a V8.

Yeah, but if he's paying for it, I'll take S13 vs S14.

Sounds like an interesting comparo. How much power is your KA-T making?

the ka will have the sr 370cc injectors with an safc. (hopefully the ka will be putting out about 280-300)and the sr will also have 370cc. It will be a seat of the pants power test lol, psi test, feel, everything. Ill do a whole write up on it.

I just got back from the track this past weekend. Forget the supra, 300zx twin turbo stock bottom end over 500hp and running 11 sec 1/4 mile. I saw it with my own eyes! During his burnout I heard the blow off valve a half a dozen times!!! Dam that car was fast!

I could have got a local shop Supra for about 30k It was an 800hp street car...

It would have been cool... But it just did not scream buy me. Also friend of mine is selling his old Stingray over 400hp built engine waiting on a supercharger... His wife is making him sell it :P (But he got the 2003 Z06 commemorate edition out of the deal)

I dont have to worry about that, my KA-T has 40k miles. I was told the sr has around the same. They should be pretty even on mileage. Does anyone have any suggestions or questions theyd like to ask regarding the project and experiment?

What exactly are you trying to compare? Are you gonna run the same turbo, injectors and SAFC on both motors?
