Check it out, this is just like ACTs:If a T25 combined with the compressor from a T3 becomes T28 (they are compatible), and a T3 turbine can be mated to a T4 compressor, then could a T4 be mated to a T2x? I assume it is possible, just horribly inefficient. Anyone else know?

Yep...T2 hot side, with a T04S compressor...and some matched wheels.

What are the odds of making it with a non-ball bearing turbo?

Why do you want to run a t2 hotside so badly, its a good turbo if you have an sr20 because it fits the factory manifold with little mods. the T3 turbine is perfectly sized for the KA and with the choices of A/R's you can have any type of powerband you like. Plus every manifold is pretty much made with a t3 flange anyways.

I was just thinking. I already have my T3, and my T04B Compressor side and rebuild kit. So, I probably will not be doing this, but I was throwing it out there. Also, some of your less expensive manifolds (SSAC) are all T2x flange. So for the budget build it would be good.
