I hate it. If anyone is jury-rigging (what the buyer calls it) their car to install a car alarm, or sterio, or whatever mark you work. please take the time to write in black ink and a tiny little tag to mark what goes to what. Also, please do not use a pink wire and splice it to a black or red wiring.......

This all stems from installing my sterio in may car. I didn't have one from the seller. I get my sterio installed and *BAM* the car-alarm goes off. WFT, I didn't know it had a car alarm!!! So I tracked that down, ripped it out, pee'd on the alarm. Then I look some more and this knuckle head must have had a NOS kit or something. I don't know to much about cars but that is the only thing I can link together with the flip switch I found. There is even more Jury-rigging after that. So I am taking my dash apart this weekend and rerunning everything.........

Exactly where the alarm's starter bypass on my car is. I also ripped mine out and threw it into the field next door.

Yeah? I am not good with cars. I am a computer guy.

It's still there with the wiring intact, what does it do? (yes, it is below the steering wheel towards the bottom. Right next to the internal fuse box)

Ok, so I did some very quick research and came out with this for Valet switch

"The switch designed to provide the control to place the security system into or bring the system out of the valet state."

So if this is correct.... I'm ripping that little son of a bit%^ out tonight
