Good deal, most of the stuff people sell in the classifieds here is overpriced anyway I always find better deals locally or in a junkyard

I'm not so fortunate. The top [El Paso] salvage junkyard owners are stingy people. Most are Arab folks making a killing on parts. The Q45 front calipers cost me 60 bucks a pop. The desert life here doesn't make it any easier. Sand and debris often find its way into parts, and i often argue my way out of paying for something pricey, contaminated by the elements. Yet some guys are cool, because I'm a regular.

I find that once you're a "regular" you do get much better prices. Yards without standard price lists are the best. I got a perfect dash for my 240 for $2o and a like new gas tank for $15 from one yard. It did have a "price list" but both prices were $10 under the list price because they knew me.

yeah some yards are cool but others just blow because of the owners.

I went to a yard to get a lip for a friend and I tried grabbing all the teardrop center caps and home boy wanted $5 a pop for center caps of wheels most people hate. I offered like $10 for the set and he said no. People are dumb.

You know the funny thing is, a lot of these owners walk around the yard or office with a gangster roll of money in their pockets. I'm telling you, they make a killing everyday.

dam lucky, I remember last year during the Superbowl sunday the pick n pull had half off i found a set of 300zx rear 5 lug hubs for 15 bucks for both, also for like two weeks, i found a set of 300zx front caliper rear calipers and the hubs all for like 120, next day sold the rears for 100. Then a couple of days later i found an deal on craigslist for 300zx caliper, rotors and brake lines for 100 bucks. So after than i have been on a cold streak have not found anything good in a while
