I have an 89 coupe, sohc KA24ET, Ive been researching a turbo project for some time now and decided to go with my own junkyard setup. Im looking for some input like where is the best place to buy a manifold, log is fine, and I have no real preference on material. stainless would be great, but a little more than I am willing to pay (I think). realnissan, revhard, where did you get yours from?

I considered making my own, but decided against that

ok so Im thinking of using the following

T3 out of 87 z31 -- watercooledDSM BOV out of 1g eclipseintercooler from somewhere, DSM, SAAB, still havent decided FM or SMFMU from ebay, 8:1 or 10:1walbro fuel pumpmanifold ( cant decide, just need one!)apexi N1 exhaust assorted guages (boost, a/f mix, others)

Ill be fabbing all of the piping myself (tack welds) , and taking it to a muffler shop to get it welded. they will make the downpipe

Im gonna be running ~5psi (set integrated wastegate on the turbo) dont think that Ill be going over 7psi eventually, unless fuel delivery is upgraded. my goal is about 200rwhp.What do you think, is this a good setup, or am I missing something really important?

you can do lots of things. Id say the best manifold you can get is one made by a company. I wouldnt custom fab one unless you know a lot about what youre doin. Im no as knowledgable about nissans as hondas, but i bet you could find a mainfold for under 500. For intercooler you can do lots of things for cheap. Ive heard of putting 2 dsm intercoolers together and using them as a front mount as well as other things.

do some searches, read up, im sure there is plenty of info around for you to find out what needs to be done.

Run some compression tests on the engine, see if its up to boost also.

My friend welded his own manifold using cast iron pipe I can get pics up tomorrow. Total is costed him less than 180 with fmu, but its not intercooled. Nick

I have a ka24e, you cant hack the MAF of this car, only the s14 have that capability, I tried to go down that road before. seems like a really easy solution to low boost fuel management!
