a few updated pics...motor is in car and broken in, tuning is almost complete.got a few rich spots to sort out but other than that its almost there.kinda sucks but the brake master died (was leaking externaly) so i just got done replacing that...oh well only was 30$ at the junkyard when i got it.

what it looks like from the drivers seat: defi gauges (oil pressure, water temp, egt) and greddy e01/wideband

and a few exterior shots, first time the car has been washed in 6 months.

This is probably a stupid question, but what are those two fittings on the back of the head and two lines that run down to the oil pan for? I know its oil related obviously.

external drains for the head, with constant high rpm and uprated pump oil can pool in the head, so trying to help it back to the pan.

Lookin good!

Might have killed the master cyl by cooking it... with the wastegate right there a heat shield might not be a bad idea.

Thats a good idea, let us know how that works out on those head return lines, let us know if you ever have ANY problems in the future or if it turns out to be not a good idea, not that im saying it isnt.

for your enjoyment and courtesy of yellow4g63...http://www.3rdgearvtec.net/And...0Vidz/you will need the divx codec to view these, filenames explain exactly what is going on.was having problems with spark blowing out, anymore than 16psi and it would cut...time for cooler plugs and a smaller gap.

Hey Carl H do you think you can do a write up for the External Oil return and for the Oil restrictors for the RB20? And is that stock exhaust manifold ?

I mean that was obvious. But i need Fitting sizes. Thanks for answer the manifold question though. Reason i'm asking is because i want to make sure i do this the right way. So i ask for alot of detail. Thanks for the response.

I believe its been covered various ways.

iirc, Carl used two -6AN lines, 90* fittings. Had the head tapped according to the thread of the fittings (the thread is all dependant on the fittings you use). Sealed. Ran -6 lines to the pan drill pan, weld on bungs. Install fittings to the lines, install lines to bungs. You'll see what I'm talking about as the progression of the pictures go.

HKS ext wg <3

In retrospect did you have any other heat problems with the HKS mani? I'm going to be running the same one with hks ext gate and t3/t04e.

ive not had too much of an issue with heat because of the manifold, as i drive the car the brakes do get a little mushy when i flog the car but im not sure if that is due to the wg positioning or rather the brakes being used.only thing i dont like about the hks mani is that it is a total whore to get the turbo on and off in the car, pretty much have to dissasemble it in the car to get it off the manifold...not fun but i'll be doing that this week when i put my twin entry turbine housing on the 30r...fun times ahead!
