I found a white convertible in the junkyard today, hard right front impact but overall condition ranges from good to fair. I think I'm going to take both rear window mechanisms and probably the top as well, I already got the rear window switch (it was missing the buttons) and I'm going to get the top up/down switches as well. Does anyone need anything convertible specific? btw it appears to be a 91 with gray tweed interior.

Grab the top motor and the hydraulic rams, they're worth $$$.

I'd like to have the rear interior side panels for a project, but not if they're ridiculously expensive.

I can find out how much they are next time I go up there. Or if you end up stopping in houston I can show you where it is. As of right now I have a spare set of side panels, I was going to reuse them but now I'm thinking about just leaving them off.

AZ: I've got a really clean set of rear panels that I need to get rid of. they are already out and sitting inside the car. If you are interested let me know. (I would rather see all the parts go to people here that I know will use them.) [email protected]

If the rear quarter panels with inner structures are in good shape and rust free, I need them. Junk Yard Dog replied that they had a set in Texas. I bet this is the car. My car came from New York and my body shop guy says the easiest way to get rid of future problems is to just bite the bullet and replace the quarters now. Let me know.

yeah they look to be in just fine shape but you do realize that to remove a 1/4 you actually remove that 1/4 of the car? I can't ship that!

I understand about shipping but if they are in good shape and they did not want too much for them, I would be willing to pick'em up. I totally love my vert and don't want it to rust out from under me without options. It is rare to find a vert in a salvage yard from what I have seen. Junk Yard Dog only listed them in New York (probably rusted) and Texas. I am guessing the Texas car is the one you found.

its the second one I've found down here... and neither of the junkyards they have been in are the sort that list parts on junkyard dog.

anyway if i ever get my car running or next time I'm up with a friend I will ask.

I stopped up and asked yesterday. the pass one has a slight dent behind the door and a couple little dings. The driver's one is pretty much perfect. He said $350 for both of them, so I'd probably want at least $500 plus shipping.

the driver's side door window switch and the rear window switch?

I can get you the driver's side switch no problem but the rear window switch I'm thinking I should hold on to, if mine ever goes bad it could be next to impossible to replace! also both buttons were broke off it already but I'm pretty sure with a little sanding I can get regular window switch buttons to fit it...

anyway say $10 shipped for the driver's side window switch if you want.

did it happen to have the rubber seals the go above the driver/passenger windows? they are about a foot long and attach to the metal edges on the top most fold? My interior would be very happy if so

the rear windows are both down so I'm not sure they are any good but as stated I already am taking the rear windows for myself. the seats are standard S13... not in the greatest shape. for a nice upgrade over stock get some S14 seats from a junkyard. they bolt right in but you will need to swap the lap belt buckle over from your stock seats because the convertible uses a specific buckle that no other S chassis used.

hmm I think I can try to get those little rubber things, and I already have the nissan emblem for the center wheel. Maybe like $14 bucks shipped for everything?

once a month... seriously once a month? the biggest junkyards here in houston (which are huge, I'm talking 100's of cars) say they are lucky to get 4 or 5 240's in a year. And thats 240sx's in general and they are all over the place here in TX... verts are even rarer, only 20,000 having been made, and while I imagine a lot of them were sold in florida, I've been to a lot of yards on the east coast in florida and I did see a lot of 240's but I didn't see one convertible.

Seriously ONCE a month!! Sometimes more then that...

We get 10-15 240s in each month at this ONE junkyard... it's actually quite sad

(Junkyard has 500-1000 cars in it at any one time and they do as many as 4000 cars a month...)

We rarely get s14s... but there was a Z32 N/A that came in... someone got to the front breaks before I did (But I got the MAF!)
