June indy meet

I want to have some sort of indy meet this june within the next few weeks..... Probably the 3rd or 4th weekend of the month...

I was thinking along the lines of what we did last fall... That was a really fun meet... The 2 day-ers seem to be popular... We could maybe have a cookout/track day at IRP one of these weekends.....

Let me know what you think would be fun and I'll plan it!

I'm up for an Indy meet. If its going to happen somebody should take the lead and get an agenda and hotel plans. The 12th I'm going to Cedar Point with some regional maxima.org members.

so are we set for June 26-27th? Repoman should have that weekend off (I will double check). I am up for a cook out at Fort Harrison State Park. But you know Im game for pretty much anything. They are having the Traderindiana.com Friday Night Midnight Madness on the 25th of that week at IRP.

Lets set the date and activity and then publish it on other sites. I can discuss this with the local Impreza club to see if there is interest in a joint club event.

That sounds good, but theres a meet in ohio then... Maybe we could get them to come over since they seem kinda iffy on whats happening..

Id rather not do it at Ft Ben because you have to pay to get in. There are parks just as good and we wouldnt have to pay... Im cheap, but $5 will get me 2 gallons in the Q..

Are there any other tracks around besides IRP??? Or maybe something other than a track...? Auto-X?

Its always a thought... Id like to try it to say i did it... I wonder if thres an open day at putnam park, that place was cool, and I know how to get there!!!

Don't forget that F1 is June 19th and 20th. And Indy Jazz Fest is the 18th-20th. So if you want a 2-day thing, it may be a bit difficult to find a hotel around town.

This meet is going to happen. Somewhere. Sometime. The details need to just be worked out. Who knows, I may be sportin' me a 91 Q45.

Bud, I am already going to the F1 race with some other people or else I would deffinetly be there with you.

The autocross at Grissom on the 26th and 27th sounds like a good idea.

Ohionissans.com is holding an Ohio meet that I am planning on going to... s13/altima put a post up about it here on NICO and here is a link to the post on ohionissans.com Its on Saturday June 26th in Delaware, OH a little bit north of Columbus... If we want to do something in the future in Cincy I’m up for it... We just need some help figuring out what to do and when to do it...

I would like to go the F-1 race but I have a family reunion to go to that weekend... :rolleyes

And since the next auto-x in Indiana is on the 26th and 27th I doubt that anyone will be going to the Ohio meet

Alright, Im gonna play a 2-day-er

I contacted http://www.munciedrag.com/ a drag strip similar to the one we went to in clay city, in march... According to their website, its open for testing on everyday they dont have events, on the sunday of the 27th they dont have anything going on.....

We could have an indy-area meet, and theres a hotel we can goto in Anderson (my city) thats right on the way, and close to the interstate... I am awaiting contact back from the people...

It looks as if we're gonna do it around the 26th ish...

Thanks for getting this set up Wes. I have extremely busy here lately or else I would have tried to get something going a little quicker. Keep us posted on what's going on. If you need some help, let me know, I'll do what I can considering everything else I have going right now.
