My main skid got bent up to the transmission crossmember a bit, but nothing that can't be fixed. I basically sat the whole truck on it many times. Also, my sliders had their real first test and I can say the hdpe plastic made the job. A bit of it got scraped and everything is fine.
I can safely say that without the protection I had, I would probably be looking to fix my rockerpanels, possibly a door, my rear bumper would still be in the trail, and my trans would have probably be either pushed up or my crossmember ripped... I tell you, this trail was punishing.. I made it most of the timed locked front and back, and there was one place that I had to quit going up after I through my alignement off when the truck fell on the driver side with all the weight on the front left wheel. We heard a loud <clip> and thought I had broken my first half-shaft....but no... I later saw that my camber bolt moved 1/8th" outward... Also, my re-inforced links (with a 20$ piece of angled iron), stayed in one piece as I sandwhiched the truck between them and rocks... They kept straight ... it seems to be very hard to bend a piece of angled iron. hahaha All in all, it was a great trip and I give myself a tap in the back for sticking with my skidplate project even if at times I wanted to drop it....
ps: don't be too hard on the cameraman.. it was my 10yo dautghter :-)
