Stumbled upon this article about the JUN Z32 used at Bonneville. Interesting read and the manifolds are a work of art.

Now to go ask the bank for some money...

Holy crap that things' GORGEOUS! And nearly 262 in a Z32, and STILL a record??? :bowrofl: I wanna drive that thing like NOTHING else!
The rear 1/4 view and rear full views gave me wood, LOVE the spoiler angle and shape and really, the entire rear treatment over anything else I've seen attached to the Z32. And the interior treatment is so abnormally correct, as many know the Japanese don't normally do well with correct roll cages and safety additions...this car is SERIOUS.
How serious?

Yeah, I spent too much time searching on this beast, quite a bit out there...and I REALLY need to win the Lottery now.
More Z32 speed p0rn at Bonneville...in car shots as well as others in glorious old-school fuzziness :https://youtu.be/JunbTeg1uVs

Unrelated but also of interest, I saw this on Speedhunters the other day shown at a Z club meet in Japan.
Polarising I'm sure, but you can't deny the quality of work and the uniqueness that this treatment gives the Z32. I really do dig the hatch treatment a'la Ferrari, but not so much the new hatch window...but then again there is a theme here and the execution is pretty spot-on I think...I could see myself in this thing no problemo.
I'm interested in what others think, there's two versions it seems...older version here with Z32 style tails:https://youtu.be/h2eUIaH7BOU
Newer version with Ferrari style tails, different wheels, painted hood: https://youtu.be/FO-PWLwEGn8
I'd go with the older tails on the newer setup...what do you all think?

Oh, that was a lot of work went into that second car you posted. Not sure I'd go that route though. But you gotta admire the commitment.

No doubt about the amount of work, definitely a LOT of changes made. I also would not go so far, but on the other hand the changes do flow with the car unlike so many other body mods that don't these days and I admire the dedication and superior quality of most of the work...no bolt-on, exposed-fastener silliness here!

Hey, just wait till Vig gets his done. Then you'll change your tune. That will be a quality piece of work.

Vig...(searches my NSF memory bank...)...you mean that kid here many moons ago that was so into doing crazy things he had no idea of how to do to his Z, and who took SOOOO much fairly well-deserved abuse?
Haven't heard nor seen anything about him in a long time...and not so sure a "change of tune" would approach my feelings about WHATEVER he did... :nono: :bs: :rotfl

Hahaha yes that's him. Oh lord those were the glory days of this forum. He's still around. He posted to one of the FB groups a while back. He's moved on from paper mache and is doing untrained fiberglass now. That poor car.

Definitely the Glory Days, we had some REALLY funny stuff going down at that time as I remember.
Since many may not be aware of what we are talking about, and I am a glutton for punishment, do you by chance have that FB link to share so I (and SURELY others) can get a good belly laugh?
Surely the fiberglass work is "on par" with the paper work earlier... :chuckle: :rotflmao

WOW...just about as imagined! Not much is different unfortunately even after so much time has passed by.
Poor car indeed.

Bet if you approached him to buy the car he would value it at $100,000 as a "one of a kind" design study

Yeah...a design study of how to successfully mess up a perfectly good car using techniques that no one else does, or would not use for this purpose and for good reason.
I can't for the life of me understand why he wouldn't understand true body modification techniques by now and continues to just throw crap on top of the body panels, if driven that car would very soon look like that cracked-up purple one posted here awhile back with a "how do I fix this?" thread and be completely ruined from a repair standpoint.
