My SR started as soon as I turned the key...

it's always given me problems but now it decides to start easily?!

I give up! :D

Stupid BOV is leaking... and it's a stock one, which is no bueno, so the idle is rough. Whats odder is it gets rougher when I put my hand to cover it?

Soooo, in all my infinite wisdom I'm gonna just replace it with a FMIC, hotpipe, and Blitz BOV... cause frankly. I don't care to mess with it lol.

You know it's kinda like the ol' KA needin spark plugs, excellent time to just throw an SR in instead :D

The guys over at http://www.rx7club.com have voiced dissapointment with Blitz BOV's at high boost. I think they were calling high boost 12 or 13 PSI. Stock Rexs are around 10psi.

I second the blitz thing. I love the way mine sounds but it is a little weak. I'll probibly end up with an HKS one  becasue it functions the best. I hate the sounds it makes though.

Explain?

I've driven cars with HKS BOV's, Apexi BOV's, Blitz BOV's, they all seem to do fine.

Remove the center "Y" piece and it changes the sound for the better. You can also purchase different pitched versions from HKS.

The blitz valve leaks a little. A friend from work has an MR2 with a T3 compressor wheel and his blitz leaked at 16psi. He rigged up a hose to it into the ****pit so he could feel if it was leaking or not. Sure enough it was.

I hear Tial works really good, though it is quiet, and the HKS SSQV works as well.

This isn't from personal experience. I'm just repeating what the Rex guys said since they narmally take anything touching their spinners very seriously. Personaly I'm still busy with suspension work on my car to worry about the engine just yet.

*Addresses JIC Tie Rods* Hurry up and get here!

Edit: The Rex guys said the problem with the Blitz had to do with a weak spring (I'm assuming the one that holds the valve) so it my be fixable if you've already got it.

I have a blitz but I'm getting rid of it since so many people have said it has given them problems, plus the fact that I have to rig it up to recirculate sucks. I am going to buy the turbosmart plumb back BOV. I haven't heard of many people running the turbosmart but i've seen them and they look the be of very high quality.

I guess it's case by case... we ran two of the older Blitz super sound blow-off valves through a test and they held 36 psi before leaking.

That's good to know. Maybe mine isn't leaking. I'm going to assume it's not cause i hate the HKS noise so much.

I have heard from many people that the Old Blitz's BOVs are the best.
