So, you purchased a Juke and have been living with it for a little while. What are your favorite pieces/parts/components and experiences with the Juke? What are the annoyances? What changes, within reason, would you suggest?

Finally, what would you tell a close friend who is considering the Juke as their next vehicle?

Thanks :)

I like the performance presets (ECO, Normal, Sport) . Being able to adjust the way the car performs under different circumstances at the press of a button is awesome. When it's icy and there are snow covered roads, changing to ECO mode seems to help with wheel spin and forces me to take it easy. When it's nice out, the Sport mode makes the car nice and zippy. All at the press of a button. The AWD-V works great on corners, I rarely slow down when jumping on or off the highway. The looks of the car get plenty of attention. I get stares whenever I have to stop.

My biggest dislike would probably be the very small tank that the AWD version has. Not a good thing to have to fill up all the time when it is below freezing outside.

This is not an SUV. If you need to carry things - this is not your car. If you need to carry adult passengers in your back seat - this is not your car. If you plan on off roading - this is not your car. If you are looking for a car with great gas mileage - this is not your car

This is a small sports car on stilts with a hatch and a turbo. If you normally travel with one adult passenger or less - this may be your car. If you are okay with around 20mpg gas mileage - this may be your car. If you rarely haul around more than a golf bag - this may be your car. If you like zipping in and out of traffic with a turbo whining away - this may be your car. If you like your car to look like a frog on steroids - this may be your car.

I have owned mine for 3 weeks so far I ... Should have got the SV or SL.
Good: very fun on a twisty rough road. AWD with torque vectoring very cool and works better than advertised on wet slippery pavement dare I say better than a subaru.

BAD: Very poor build quality in the interior. Lots of rattles and buzzes in the interior mainly shoddy door panels and a really cheep headliner, plastic pop on seat parts that don't fit right and loose sheet metal under dash. reminds me of my Ford escort I bought new in 88. Nissan went backwards

If I didn't know any better, I would think that you aren't happy with your gas mileage. I think I see a theme with ALL of your posts. :squint:

Have you tried to drive in eco mode and keep the car under 2000 rpm? Please remember you are driving a boosted car and if you want better mpg, then you have to stay out of boost. I hit over 29 mpg on the highway the other day after filling up. I am sure if I were to drive 55-60 mph and coast along, I should get over 30 mpg and I have the awd w/ cvt.

To answer the OPs question. Overall I think the car is great. Good power, handling, and lots of fun to drive. Only negative is the lack of aftermarket parts for some customization. I have a buddy with a CR-Z and they have tons of stuff out already.

Good: Stereo; the stereo is outstanding for a base stereo, and the ipod interface actually works really well. Ride comfort; soft easy going and flat out comfortable. Push button locks/start; this is by far one of my favored qualities. So nice to not have to mess with keys. Quiet when driving; The exhaust is quiet, and there isn't much road noise. Makes for a pleasant ride. GREAT gas mileage; getting 25+ miles/gallon compared to the 8 -16 I had been getting is awesome. Climate control; the auto climate control is badass. It works really well.

Bad: Bluetooth; must have been an afterthought. Should have had more phone options, at least newer compatable phones. Turbo; would have been great had they given us a little bigger turbo. I wouldn't mind a little lag, as long as you felt it when you were at full boost. HID Lighting not being an option. I have had HID lighting in the last few cars I have had. It is a disappointment to not have this option available. No rubber trunk liner.

All in all, it is a great car, and I am enjoying the hell out of it.

You will probably get better mileage if you don't lug the engine. I'm not saying go WOT, that will kill mileage, but making the engine strain to make the car move will not improve mileage. It's all about throttle manipulation. Try shifting before 3k or 3500. Try it out for a tank.

With our New Juke, There are a few so called "Bad" issues..

First: (OEM) Goodyear Eagle RS-A Tires without any clear warranty from Goodyear (6 months manufacture defects only) the ride has been less then pleasing.

Second: I (being 6'3'' tall) have a hard time reaching around my left shoulder to retrieve the safety belt..

Third: No Armrest, however because the Juke has essentially just hit the market.. Europe was the first to acquire two versions of the armrest.. One directly from Nissan, while the other is an aftermarket spin off. We look forward to having Nissan deliver the armrest here in the states shortly.
