New to the forum so, Hi Everyone!

Background
About six months ago my sons girlfriend bought a 2016 Juke Nismo RS with 147000kms on it. Car was running great until recently. On the way to our house the transmission disengaged while the selector was in drive. Managed to limp it here. I did a quick check and found the transmission fluid was thick and black. There were a couple of DTCs when I scanned the system. P0776 and P2813. They had it towed to a transmission shop.

Verdict
The transmission is toast. (My online research seems to agree) Repair estimate $6000. I have the tools and skills to remove and install a transmission so we are searching for a used one. Not having much luck finding the exact year.

Question
Is a 2013 Juke Nismo transmission interchangeable with a 2016? I have located one and the seller says yes. Checked with Nissan and they are not sure. The part numbers are slightly different.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Norm

Go into NissanPartsDeal.com, enter the VIN for the '13 and enter the part number from your '16. If it shows a fit then the p/n difference is a supersession. On a more general note, whatever tranny you get, get the donor TCM with it. You'll save a lot of headaches by swapping both.

Thanks. That is a great link. Turns out there is a small production window that fits the car. Don't know what the changes are but, they say that only those produced between 08/15 and 08/16 fit.

At least I know what I am looking for now!

After checking in the SM's and some other places, the '13 used the RE0F10B for both FWD and AWD versions, the '16 used the RE0F10B for AWD (only) and the RE0F10D for FWD (only). So if your '16 is AWD then a '13 tranny should fit, if it's 2WD then it won't.

Thanks again. Her grandfather decided to pay for it to be fixed at the shop
Could've saved them a bunch of money if they had exercised a little patience.
