So this build of mine has been going on for a long time so I will put up some history behind it before I get to the current build up since I know everyone likes to see progress pics, as well as me.
Years ago I bought this clunker rice burner of a car on eBay:

It had a KA24e which i proceded to burn the tires off before taking it apart...
Image

Then I started really taking it apart and getting rid of all the rust.
Image

Then worked on it some more.

Then mounted an RB25
Image

I installed all the usualy swap parts, FMIC, walbro, etc.
Image

Then I finally got it all finished running great in stock form and drove it less than 50 miles and put it away for a while while I concentrated on college. Then I got picked to be on pass time and won $2000 so i figured I would take it apart once again and do some more work to it and that is where I am now, I will show the pics of what I am currently doing.

I took the manifold to my machine shop and turned down a piece of cylinder billet to 2.5 and tig welded it into the hole and then welded the throttle body onto the front of the manifold. The piping is just mocked up there so dont mind it.
Image

I also threw the stock exhaust manifold on the mill and bored a hole in it and welded in a steel pipe and ported it along with adding an HKS flange on it.

For some reason I forgot to the a picture of the turbo but its an HX35 that I bought used and will be getting rebuilt with this.

I also picked up a z32 ECU that I am going to have autovaugh performance install a nistune type 2 board in so that I can get this baby tuned. I have a lot more odds and ends to pick up as well as injectors so as all of this stuff comes in and I get free time to work on the car I will update.

Are you venting the wastegate to atmosphere next to something plastic or just putting next to the plastic thing that make you stop?

I actually got a lot of work done on it this weekend but didn't have my camera to take pics. The waste gate has a dump tube that comes out under the car and is going to be wrapped as well as a heat shield installed around the master cylinder. It looks a lot closer in the photo than it really is.
As for the intake manifold, it will work fine for what I want. Worst case scenario being that the last cylinder will run rich which isn't the worst thing in the world. I have seen and read about many aussies doing this so I figured I would rather do that then waste my money on a Freddy manifold. I am only shooting for 400whp so I should be fine.
I got the whole turbo rebuilt and installed as well as finished making new intercooler piping and mounted the recirc bov system. I am still debating which maf to go with, either lightning or a z32, and if I am going blow through or pull through.

Actually the #6 cylinder will go LEAN because the air naturally flows that way. There are freddy manifolds for around $200, and they are designed around that. Well at least the original was.

Thanks for getting back to me but I ended up going with a lightning maf, less expensive and ability to flow more, plus I was able to get a brand new one.
