Just picked up a 95 Maxima SE today. The body is pretty clean for an 11 year old car. Rear bumper appears to have been bumped, but nothing major. Interior is clean with some minor issues that should be easily remedied. It's pearl white. Lowered on H&R springs and KYB shocks. Greddy exhaust. Engine needs some cleaning, but no apparentl problems. Drives wonderfully. Has some 18's on it, but I'm not liking how they look. Interestingly, they look to be about 9 inches wide. I took a tape measure to it in the dark and reaching/feeling through the spokes, but it almost reaches 9.5" total. The fronts stick out slightly(eww). I have some 350Z touring wheels in the garage and I believe they will fit (saw a set of track wheels on one before) and hopefully it will look better.

The pic was taken by the previous owner. I'll get some of my own up after I get the Z wheels on and give the car a good cleaning.

Good deal

Wonder what the offset of the current wheels are. If they are 40mm, then the Z wheels will stick out even more on the front since I believe they are 30mm in the front.

Turns out the existing wheels were 8.5" wide. I'm not sure about the offset though. I went ahead and put on the Z wheels. They still stick out but slightly less and they look a lot better. The rears look like they were made for the car though. I may have the wheel checked to see if they might be able to machine some of the mounting surface off. I'd say it might be able to take 5 mm. 10 mm would probably be ideal though. But I am content for the moment given that the wheels that came with the car looked like utter crap.

Next up for thias car will be a new head unit. When borrowing my friend's car, I bought him a new head unit to replace the one that wasn't working and it had MP3 capabilities. I must say that having a CD that can hold a small CD changer's worth of songs was rather convenient. I may splurge on a double din unit that can play DVD movies if I find a good deal.

This car should turn out to be a great "beater".

Took me a while to get around to it. For some reason, either I didn't have my camera when the car was clean and weather was good, or the car was dirty or weather sucked. Weather wasn't great in the following shots, but it was good enough I guess.

Any info on the wheels you took off? I've been looking for some 8.5" or even 9" wide wheels. Offsett needs to be near 40 though.

Here's the stereo again, but showing the attached USB external harddrive the stereo is capable of playing music from.

They are 18x8.5" with a 35 offset. The offset was a bit hard to find as the imprint was a bit light and I'm used to finding them on the spokes. But here's a pic and I checked the other three to make sure he wasn't running a different offset front and rear. Space is a bit cramped where I have them stored so I couldn't get a shot of all 4.

front of the wheel.

If you are interested, I will sell them. Let me know. The tread on two are probably 70-80%. The one in the pic is probably about 20% and the other matching one is maybe 10% left. 235/40-18.
