Joining Harness and Matching Wire Colors

Hi, I searched and could not find a similar case.

Background:Someone backed into the vehicle (96 G20) and the wires in the engine harness running close to the radiator got trapped, shorted and burned.

Problem:I got a harness and decided cut the burnt harness on the car and join from the center of the hood to the relay box on the left. Now it seems like the harness came from a different year.

I soldered the main wires that matched; and the dash and other items in the vehicle are working. However, there are cases like the photo below where I am not sure how to match the colors. I am guessing that the one with the black stripes connects to each other, any help or ideas will be greatly appreciated.
