So I am now the proud owner of a 2004.5 g35x, Auto trans, 57xxx miles on it....with a catch, it's salvage titled. Previous owner hit a deer and it did enough damage to the front to get itself a branded title. Paid 2700, I've put 3400 in parts into it...going to be well worth it when done. So far I have replaced the radiator, radiator support, condenser, fans, lightweight underdrive pulleys, stillen air intake, various bottles and hardware. Have the hood, fenders, and bumper cover, need a grille and a passenger side headlight assembly. Runs amazing and no frame damage. Now some pics!

LOOKS worse than what it really is.

Will update with interior pictures soon, car is at my shop. Also will post updates as things get done and when the car finally gets inspected.

Yes I saved a G. Always wanted to own one, never had the funds. Saved a bunch of money up and wanted something to replace my I30. I've looked at everything from Jags to grand ams. Finally over the last few months I wanted a project, nothing to crazy and something I could build my self in a month or 2 with some mild performance parts, and here it is.

My mother has a 2007 g35x, and goddamn is that thing fast and a beast in the snow.

I tell you though, Infiniti (Nissan) replacement parts are hella expensive. The passenger Xenon light assembly costs 800 dollars from the dealer, with a discount. That's to be expected though.

yeah, direct parts are expensive which is why the first place to look is usually ebay.

Congrats on the car, hope it comes together easily for ya!

I have bought many of the essentials and body parts from an Infiniti/Nissan dealership here in CT , and they put me on some kind of wholesale account with deep discounts because, well, when you spend 2200 in 2 days I guess that means something to them. In discounts I've saved a solid 500-1000 dollars so far.

Thank you, I am finding the car not to be to bad of a project. Hoping to be daily driving it by the middle of August.

I've owned a few salvaged cars and the only catch is trying to sell them after you've fixed them up. I bought a basically new Firebird formula with 150 miles on it....same story as you, driver hit a deer on the way home from the dealership!!

My first car I ever drove was salvage titled. 81' Monte Carlo, absolutely beautiful except in the driver rear where there was a SLIGHT dent. Long story short an old lady got into a minor accident, they said to fix it would be 1400 and the car was worth 800. Literally just got the report from the insurance company, and went right to DMV for inspection. Passed easily.

By the way, your new ride is a beautiful machine. Saw a brand new challenger R/T up close for the first time a few years back at this guys barn, mind blown.
