Any news on your bored 5 mm VH45/50? Running yet?

It's bored now and liners in. Will get some photos of the block and all the parts next Friday when I go down to the engine builders.The hold up at the minute believe it or not is having a new crank pulley made up. I'm having a small diameter ali one with 2 belt runs (1 toothed). That will hold off having the engine balanced once it's assembled.

Did you ever find out about the adjustable cam gears?

Yes mate ... it was as i said ... I give him the gears he modify's them (cuts the centre out)

Obviously thats easy for exhaust gears ... inlets may be a bit harder with the vvt assembly

With around 20 mm gap between cylinders i think reducing it to around 10 mm wouldnt cause any problems ... Good on ya for going 5 litre

That cam gear isnt for VH45DE ... just an example of what he makes
