if i study auto engineering as my major in college, when i finish with it what kind of jobs am i looking forward to get?like what kind of jobs would be looking for a auto engineering person.
i've been thinking about this question because i work at a dealership right now as a tech and i dont' want to be just fixing car for the rest of my life. I dont want to finish auto engineering in college for 4 year and come back out and get a job at a dealership and fix car again.
so give me some idea or kind of job that might be looking for auto enginnering people.

well first, I'm not sure that there is an actual "auto engineering," you might have to go with mechanical engineering or something like that... I'm not so sure though.
a friend of mine is doing civil engineering right now, and the way it works for him is that he works a number of internships over the summer at local engineering firms (probably doing gopher work or whatever), but when he gets out of school one of them might hire him as an apprentince or something like that, and end up paying for his graduate studies.
Not sure about the TYPES of jobs you'd do though. I'm sure you can do whatever interests you once you have the degree. You just need to find a company to work for.

Look up Porsche. It says on their site that they always have positions available for engineers, but I dont know if these jobs require you to move over seas and learn to spaek german.

neither if you ask me, its like a social cordinator.
For example: BMW sets up days at public places where people can come test drive BMW's on the road, or on road coarses. The public relations people set that stuff up.
I am wanting to work with BMW or Nissan in their PR dept. My advisor says the market is going to increase 25% in the next 3 yrs, even with bad economy.
