When you say W3's, what size are you talking about? I would highly recommend the JL Stealth Box. Amazing, amazing performance. Just let me know and I'll shoot you some prices or advice on the 8W7 or W3's depending on the size.

Is that enclosure pretty much just going to sit in the corner the way you have it? If so I would suspend a 3/4" MDF mounting ring out from the floor of the piece that you have made. You can get it angled however you want. Also if you want to flush the sub it would be the time to do it with the ring that you make. You'll want that ring pretty solid so it doesn't move around at all. You will then stretch material over it and attach it to the piece you have made. Then of course resin that then start adding mat once that has set up.

Both subs are great! Even the 6W3's are amazing. The 8w7 will play deeper, but the W3's will have more output.

That box doesn't look to be very big. What is it .6-.7ft^3? I'd look towards a single w7 if you're going with that small of a box...depending on what amp you use. But, with a larger box, you can get away with a little bit smaller amp.

well, thats another bit im not 100% sure on... the recommended sealed volume for a 8W7 is .875 cu.ft. vs .350 cu.ft. for the 8W3.... usin the most crude of methods, ( im not goin into detail out of shame, loL) i figured out that the section of the box ive got so far gets me about 2/3s of the way to what i need for the .875 cu.ft., (does than figure in for the speakers space claim?).... so if i did end up opting for the W3s, do i simply double the volume requirment, or is it a bit more technical than that? thanks guys.

8W3v3 does not need much airspace. I would probably do the 8W7 and 250/1v2 but at least you can put grilles on the W3v3 to protect the drivers. The stealthbox is also a great option but I would run 600W on it.

You can put the W7 in a slightly smaller box than recommended, just make sure you use the appropriate amount of power...and don't buy a JL amp unless you have money burning a hole in your pocket.

The W3 in that tiny recommended box would suck and you'd need two W3's because of that. However, due to the innefficiencies of having a small amount of space for each driver, power requirements go up which increases power compression and the small box also introduces more airspring distortion, which is directly related to Vd/Vb (Volume of displacement by the speaker(s)/Volume of box). And I'm not talking about how much space the woofer takes up, but how much air it displaces from peak to peak cone travel.

thanks for the takes guys. fortunatly, im gonna be too broke to worry about making the final decision for a couple more weeks the bits above are my biggest questions at the moment...
