JL Audio ZR650-CSi VS. Polk SR6500

I've been looking at the JL Audio Zr series for a while now and until recently was set on buying a pair... but now ive read so much about the polk audio signature reference series that im starting to lean towards polk audio. I was hoping you guys could give me your opinions on the two.

also, i know both companies have similar component systems for about half the price.. like JL's XR650 CSi and Polk's Kappa series. I was wondering if it was worth the extra money to get the $800-$900 speakers or just go one step down for about half the price.

Well if you're looking at that kind of money, listen to the focal K2 powers. Sound much better than the polks...havent heard the JLs though. Hi-Fi Buys usually will have both set up in a room.

I was about to say the same thing joe.

I'd go with the Focal K2Ps. Or save a few hundred and go with the KFs. There isn't much of a difference.

The JLs are extremely bright. The polks have horrible midranges, and are very dull
