I think you should find a local store that sells these and listen to them...RaiderKID wrote:WHAT SUB WOULD YOU GUYS RECOMMEND FROM THIS COMPANY I AM LEANING TOWARD A 13W7. SHOULD I GO WITH TWO OF THEM OR JUST ONE? ALSO WHAT WOULD BE A GOOD AMP FOR THIS SUBS?
I WANNA HEAR YOU OPINOINS?
there are a number of companies that make monster subs... the immortal is on par with the JL W7... again, not an SQ subwoofer... and from a sub-par company at that!slipknot555_666_69 wrote:find a 12'' audiobahn immortal
For pricing and such I suggest you contact NICO member Broadfield. You can find him relatively easy in the NICO car audio forums.RaiderKID wrote:WHAT SUB WOULD YOU GUYS RECOMMEND FROM THIS COMPANY I AM LEANING TOWARD A 13W7. SHOULD I GO WITH TWO OF THEM OR JUST ONE? I would agree with everything Doc has said along with the above statement. I've seen quite a few people that have used Broadfield to get components. He seems to be very helpful to members and you'd have an easy way to get in contact with him if you run into problems through the boards!audtatious wrote:

alpine xs are a really nice sounding speaker just make sure u have the amp to match, they take more power than most do to sound good.Infantry1327 wrote:Get a 12" Alpine Type X. I just hooked up 2 10" type X's and these things are amazing. But they love power, so you haft to feed them.
For JL the W6 sounds alot better than the W7. The W7 is just loud
as said before. there is now way 2 13.5" w7's would fit in your car, at least not in the correct size box.RaiderKID wrote:WHAT SUB WOULD YOU GUYS RECOMMEND FROM THIS COMPANY I AM LEANING TOWARD A 13W7. SHOULD I GO WITH TWO OF THEM OR JUST ONE? ALSO WHAT WOULD BE A GOOD AMP FOR THIS SUBS?

bandpass boxes were designed to make cheap subwoofers sound better... definately NOT the optimum setup for JL W3's... just my .03StrokerAce wrote:

anyways. i have 2 12" W3V3 subs in my trunk in a bandpass box running 600w rms. granted i lost majority of my trunk space, but it sounds fantastic. very clean punchy bass. i would highly recommend the w3's as they can handle 500w rms per sub. if you want very clean bass that hits hard run 2 12" JL W3v3-4 on a JL 1000/1 amp in a sealed enclosure and it should sound beautiful. just my $0.02
that makes me feel MUCH better... the JL W3's are too good a woofer to put in a bandpass box... but ported or sealed, they sound great!!!!StrokerAce wrote:sorry. i fixed my post above. i have the 2 12w3v3's in a ported enclosure not a bandpass...
and you were absoloutly right about the bandpass box. i appologize. i feel like an *** now...
