Ok, I know theres been some talk about using the DSM resistor box to lower the impedeance for low impedeance injectors. What I was wondering is if anyone has used the Jim Wolf resistors. I'm sure plenty of people have the ECU's and such.

They seem to be in-line resistors, I'm assuming you wire them in directly before the injectors. If not, then where. I'm also assuming that these would eliminate the hassle of routing wires to a seperate box, mounting the box, and then to the injectors if this is true.

If anyone's got some info on these that would be great. Thanks

All you have to buy is 10 ohm 10 watt resistors and wire them in, usually next to the ECU but can be anywhere between the injector and ecu is fine. That's what JWT will sell you, for much more than you have to pay online.

got mine from 240sxmotoring.com $19 shipped for all 4

i didnt even think of putting them near the ecu, that would make the harness look so much better near my injectors. i dont think sometimes

10 watt/10 ohm resistors are $2.50 ea.=)

No worries Anthony, I think sometimes we just go for what seems the most logical and easy to access place to put things...which is usually the engine bay unfortunately.

wiring the dsm box is a piece of cake and once it is finished you can't even tell it is there.

Thanks guys, just as I thought, but great that you can get them cheaper too.

On a side note, there should be no problem running my E-manage with these right? I would put them between the injectors and the E-manage rather than between the E-manage and the stock ECU. Correct?

no, its the other wire that gets a resistor. the one going back to the ecu. don't cut any injector wires for the emanage. it only taps into the drive wire. the only two you'll need to cut are MAF and Ignition.

I actually found it's cheaper to get the resistors at Radioshack even. $1.69 for two. Part number 271-132. (This is 10 ohm/10 watt Resistors)
