I have a set of JIC Magic coilovers on my 370z. The current setup has the springs separate from the rear dampeners like the factory setup. My set is the same as the pictures in here: http://g35driver.com/forums/archived-sa ... -370z.html

A few people have mentioned to me that I should look at converting the rear dampeners to true coilovers i.e. moving the spring onto the dampener.

I have 2 questions about this:

1) what are the advantages?
2) what is involved in doing this? From what I can see, all I would need is a lower locking nut (JIC only has one), upper housing plate, and the spring. Do I have this right, is there anything I am missing?

I tried researching this on the 370 forums but unfortunately there was not much information there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
