jgtc televised?

hey everyone does anybody know if the jgtc race at cali in a few weeks is going to be televised on speed or something?

the schedule on the speed tv website doesnt go that far and i cant find anything saying it will be on the jgtc usa website, so i was wondering if anyone had heard anything, i want to go but im trapped here at school that weekend.

hey all bringing this back up to answer my own question and to anyone who wants to know i just read that the cali jgtc race will be broadcast on speed in january 2005, in taped form of course.

spike tv is suppost to be showing the jgtc in mid december

Yeah I heard it'd be on Spike tv too, but I don't know. It'd be cool if it was on Speed.

the spike part is going to be like clips and stuff id assume, but according to what i read theyre showing the entire jgtc race on speed, just like their normal endurance racing broadcasts

Thats cool. It'd be really cool if it was televised on like ABC or NBC like all the Nascar races.

NBC has a deal where they run some of the alms, but aside from that its all nascar.

you mean what is jgtc?

it stands for japanese grand touring championship, its endurance sports car racing, like le mans. except the cars are like skylines, supras, 350s, silvias, etc. theyre having an exhibition race at california speedway on the weekend on dec. 18-19.

Hmmm.....hopefully someone will be smart and feature it live. Would be nice for the professional import racing scene to get some national exposure.

eh they almost never show sports car racing live, occasionally alms and speed word challenge, the only one that is live every time on speed in formula 1, and 90% of those races are at 1am.

I think that the Spike stuff would just be clips, which sucks for evreyone else. Maybe get people to tape it and try and share it somehow? Im going to be there but I don't have a cam, otherwise I would be taping stuff, but im sure one cameras perspective wouldnt be that great. Going to take TONS of pics though.

ggrrrr i would be going but im still at school. i forget speed is an extra channel, not like regular cable has it, ill have my friend record it then upload it to his server.
