There is no 3.0l displacement limit. Where did you pull that from? The Honda NSX motor is is the C32B 3.2l V6 and the Supras are running 5.1l 3UZ-FE V8s. The only limit is when it comes to the motor is 500BHP.

Did anyone notice the GT300 Mosler MT900R that is powered by a 6.2l LS-1? The Viper that is in the GT300 is rated at 300BHP@4000RPM... Vipers can rev much higher than that, the car has many wheight penalties...
The Celicas in the GT300 are 3SGTE powered as well as the MR-S cars. The Silvias are SR20DET powered. The Endless Z is VQ35DE powered.
