i'm running the 40mm jgs wastegate on my car with the 8 psi spring. i don't know if it is spiking or something, but ive seen it go up to 10 psi on my boost gauge, and that wasnt even at WOT. i currently have the vacuum line coming off of the compressor on the second(lower) boost port on the wastegate, with the top one(which is supposed to be for a boost controller, per their directions) open. is this correct?

the thing that is giving me trouble is that the diagram of the wastegate in their instructions looks different than the wastegate itself.

thanks

Obviously they weren't paying attention when their web geek made that diagram aye...lol.

The upper bung is for an electric boost controller, it stays open when not in use or when using a manual bleeder type or internal spring rating.

Here's an electronic type setup.

Help any?

The springs aren't exact.

JGS offers three springs - low, medium, and high. The low is estimated to be 6-7 PSI, and the medium 8-10 PSI (low/medium is on the JGS website) and the high is around ~13-15 PSI IIRC.

I have the medium spring in, and typically see between 8.8 and 9.2 peak boost when I run just the wastegate.

Also - WD - the top picture is the first JGS wastegate, which looks different the diagram. The wastegate I got with their starter turbo kit looks exactly like the one in the diagram, with the grooves and whatnot.
